The Design Classics
"Some time ago, I was asked by Linkedin by someone who wanted to become a lighting/lamp designer.
"What should I start with?"
I never thought about it before because I just became a lighting designer by chance or I was just captivated by the light like a moth. Well, at least, when I was a child, I never visualized myself as a lighting designer; of course I liked to be creative but I guess I just wanted to be an astronaut or a fireman, even Michael Jordan or Maradona. My wife, one day, confessed me she wanted to be an ice-cream vendor (smart girl!). But, returning to the path, I have to admit that I did not hesitate answering that person. I told her/him:
"Start finding out why The Masters are Masters"
In fact, I suppose I was answering myself. So, I started collecting lighting designs that appeal to me.
